No, I did not blog yesterday on Super Bowl Sunday. Suzen and I were glued to the pre-game and the game and … No, we two diehard Seahawks fans never want to talk about the end of the game. Never ever.

But there is plenty to talk about.

First, I have a new writing partner, Winnie, aka the Keyboard Kat. She’s a rescue cat, very cuddly, and fond of the ; and ‘ keys. We are adjusting to both occupying the keyboard and it may take some time to work out an equitable time sharing program.

Second, if you look at a blog post, you will see a very new Tag Cloud showing the top 150 tags with randomized color. It’s a bigger sample of the almost 1000 words we have employed to tag our recipes. To search the recipes, just use that Search box at the top and enter the word of your choice. Our Search function looks at all the words used in all the posts, so, even if your word is obscure, if we have it in a recipe you’ll be rewarded.

Third, you can now also search by Category, but that work is still in progress. We have some cleanup and organization work to do. I’m thinking Winnie can tackle that after the next nap.

Fourth, I need to describe our evolving strategy for posting recipes. Suzen and I pride ourselves on posting recipes we have personally tried, tested, and approve. And we like to use photos we have taken. Thing is, it’s hard to keep up with the flow of wonderful cookbooks and recipes that we see weekly. It’s impossible for us to test every recipe that we think deserves your attention.

So, going forward, Suzen and I will write about some recipes that we have not personally tested — and candidly may never get around to — but that we believe seem intriguing. Just because time and tide mean we cannot sample them, you may have the opportunity to enjoy some of these wonderful-sounding ideas.

For those posts where we have not personally tested the recipe, I’ll put a short note at the end telling you that we are sharing this recipe, that we hope you try it, and to please let us know if you do. The majority of the postings here will be recipes that Suzen and I have personally cooked, but now we’ll be able to give you an additional channel of grand ideas.

With my new typing assistant, Winnie, I have plenty to do.
